Greetings to those of you who are returning or are new to this congregation in sunny Florida! We are blessed to have you worship and fellowship with us.A parish nurse is a congregational-based, spiritually-centered and specially-trained registered nurse who ministers and promotes “whole person health.”
The beauty of this ministry includes the time to: ·hear the stories ·share the hurts ·be present during health struggles ·pray together
Individuals of all ages and families have access to a qualified healthcare provider who is able to assist in making or clarifying healthcare decisions. There is never a fee for service. This assistance can be provided as: ·consultation in the office for blood pressure or weight monitoring ·disease or medication clarification ·visitation at home, hospital or nursing care facility at your request or of thepastor, family or visitation team ·teaching health and safety promotion, disease prevention ·referring to church and community resources
The parish nurse does not: ·provide “hands on” nursing treatment or therapy ·prescribe, supply or inject medication
